BALDWIN PARK, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Baldwin Park residents looking for assistance with lost pets, animal care or animal control should note that the city changed its animal-service provider earlier this year.
Beginning July 1, 2026, Baldwin Park transitioned from Los Angeles County Animal Services to the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA in Pomona, according to the city’s animal-services page.
Services and contact information
The city’s provider information lists animal control, response to stray or injured animals, adoptions and pet licensing among the services available through the new arrangement. The main shelter campus is at 500 Humane Way, Pomona, CA 91766, with customer care hours listed as Monday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m..
For regular services, the city lists (909) 623-9777. It separately lists (909) 594-9858 for after-hours emergency animal services from 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Those hours do not establish that every type of walk-in service is available throughout the day; call ahead when possible.
What changed for the community
City announcements described the new arrangement as providing a dedicated animal-control presence for Baldwin Park. That is an official service commitment, not an independently verified claim about improved response times or outcomes.
For immediate human danger, continue to use appropriate emergency services.
